FMCA BENIFITS

Holiday greetings to everyone

and we hope to see all of you at the January rally (remember, if you haven't told Joan Reitz yet, she needs to know by Saturday).

As promised, here is your friendly reminder regarding the new FMCA benefit that goes into effect January 1st.

On page 36 and continuing for a few more pages, of your current Family Motor Coaching magazine is the summary of benefits. Also, on page 37 are two benefit cards to cut out and carry with you. This is a great benefit that comes free with your FMCA membership. So, read, clip and be informed.

Happy Holidays,

Fay

SPRING RALLY INFO

As most of you know, the Reitz and the Friedman's have volunteered to host our January rally in conjunction with the Western Area FMCA rally in Indio. Having been contacted by several people, I felt I should pass on the following info to the group and hope I am not stepping on the Reitz and Friedman's shoes.

The form for registering for the FMCA part of the rally can be found in your FMCA magazine (Oct, Nov, or Dec) or on the FMCA website www.fmca.com. You can register via mail, email or by phone. The pre-reg date is up to 12/30/10 afterwards you can still register, but it will cost you $10 more.

If you have any questions about this, please fell free to contact the Reitz, Friedman's or me. The information regarding the 49ers part of the rally will be coming to you from either the Reitz or the Friedman's.

Hope to see everyone there

ALAMEDA RALLY TECH TOPICS

A new Skirt Lifter Kit was introduced at the GMC 49ers 34th anniversary Harbor Holiday Rally at Alameda, California.

If you have installed the quadra bag system, you need to check out the new Skirt Lifter Kit which allows you easily hinge open the OEM GMC skirts anytime to inspect, adjust and clean your quadra bag system.

This complete kit was developed by John Chalfant for his 1978 Birchaven and has been road tested for over five thousand miles. The kit utilizes stainless steel continuous hinges to attach the top of the skirts to the coach, and a special magnetic latch assembly which holds the bottom of the skirt firmly in place. The magnetic latch is rated to hold 16 lbs.

The kit is available from Applied GMC for $149.95 and it includes complete installation instructions. It takes less than two hours to install using simple hand tools.

Now you can lift your skirts and show em what you/ WEve got! Check your line and airbag pressures, twist your valves and rinse off those airbags anytime!"

TI TECH TOPICS

                                                       TI TECH  TOPICS

Even though there were no tech presentations, there were a lot of impressive tech topics

MECHANICAL FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT
Carlo and Stephen (new owners since Auburn) have a newly installed (by them), - rebuilt engine.   During one of the moves at TI,  the engine quit.  A bunch of GMCers helped push the GMC into a parking space and this amazing Duo, ( with the help of DougJ and others) located the problem as a mechanical fuel pump failure (a new unit) and the young owners, attacked and replaced the pump while the Blue Angles flew over their Coach.   Way to go, and a nice technical presentation at the same time ;>)
